Before Twins at the Table, our cooking roots actually started with a lemonade stand. We called it Twice as Nice Lemonade, and for years we sold flavored lemonades at local farmers markets, where it became a favorite in our community. Even though we don’t run the lemonade business anymore, our mom still carries on the tradition, selling our lemonade at summer markets today. We’ve since adapted that same recipe for you to enjoy while hosting, at parties and gatherings, or simply on a hot day when nothing sounds better.

Ingredients:

Makes ½ gallon

  • 6 cups warm water
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar

Directions:

  1. Stir the warm water and sugar together in a half gallon pitcher. Allow to sit for a minute or two to fully dissolve the sugar, stirring occasionally.
  2. Once the sugar is dissolved, add the lemon juice to the pitcher and stir to combine. Enjoy immediately over ice or let sit in the fridge to chill.

Happy squeezing,
Beth & Katie | Twins at the Table
